Students at Mullen Middle School returned to classes Monday, the first time back after Friday's tragedy.

12 year old Kaimyn Anderson died suddenly, after collapsing on the bleachers at the Wyoming East High school football game. The school provided grief counselors for the students to talk to.

Principal Smith said she encouraged students to come to school to be around others who are also grieving. Smith said that coming back to school for the first time without Kaimyn would be hard for them, but "they've gone through the process like champions."

Flags outside the school were lowered and students wore shades of blue in memory of their classmate.  Students said Anderson will be missed in the classroom, and on the sports field.

A viewing was held Tuesday morning, followed by a funeral. The school offered condolences to the family.
