    Emergency dispatchers confirm one has been transported to the hospital following a house fire on Falls View Road in Falls View early Monday morning (9/16).The house was reportedly empty at the time of the fire.Gauley Bridge, Boomer and Smithers Fire Departments have responded. Jan Care and General Ambulances, along with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, are also on scene.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin announced Sept. 10 West Virginia will host governors from throughout the nation for the National Governor's Association's 2015 summer meeting, July 23-26.

The 2015 meeting will mark the third time the NGA has hosted its summer meeting in the Mountain State since 1922, hosting it that year and again in 2005.

"The nation's governors are excited to bring our Summer Meeting to West Virginia, and we thank Gov. Tomblin for his gracious invitation," NGA Vice Chair Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper said in a news release. "NGA meetings are an opportunity for leaders from around the country to come together across party lines to develop innovative and improved approaches to governing."

The NGA's nine-governor executive committee selected West Virginia after deciding it met all the criteria for hosting the meeting, including hotel and meeting space, transportation requirements as well as security and volunteer needs.

The 2014 summer meeting will take place in Nashville, Tenn.

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase wild, wonderful West Virginia to my colleagues from across the country," Tomblin said in a news release. "White Sulphur Springs is one of West Virginia's small town gems, and I'm confident this will be a productive and memorable experience for everyone involved."
