Day to Serve starts in W.Va. parks

You can help fix up state parks over the next two weeks under the Day to Serve initiative.

This is the second year the state has been part of a multi-state effort to encourage volunteerism.

The Division of Natural Resources believes the state parks are a great place to do your part.

Several parks have things you can help do in our area. You can head to Twin Falls State park in Wyoming County to build or maintain mountain biking trails.

According to the Governor Tomblin's office, volunteers planned and participated in more than 400 service projects throughout the state's 55 counties last year.
