People from all across the country auditioned for the third season of the"X Factor."

One teen from Fayette County took a bus to New York City for a shot at fame and the chance to be a country music star.

Colton Pack, 18, is from Danese.

When Pack went to the big apple, people from the mountain state joined him in New York City to show their support.

We asked Pack what it was like to perform in front of the judges, including Simon Cowell.

"You think he's going to be as brutal as he can be.  He's nothing like that.  He's a really nice guy.  He's completely honest," said Pack.

Pack says he started singing at the age of four, and that he started singing country music in his freshman year of high school at Midland Trail.

Country music is something that brings him and his brothers together.

"I play the guitar.  We all sing really well together," said Noah Pack.

Pack continues to the next round of the "X-Factor."   If he does not win, Colton Pack says he plans to go to college in Tennessee and study music.
