Oceana councilman's son arrested on laundry list of charges

Oceana Police make an arrest in a case that began in August.  The case involved a person who was stealing from vehicles around the Wyoming County community.

Timothy Ray Morgan, 30, of Oceana was arrested at 2 a.m. on Wednesday.  He is charged with three counts of Petit Larceny, Destruction of Property, Attempted Breaking and Entering of a Vehicle, Attempted Burglary and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

The charges stem from a string of thefts from cars and vehicle along Brook and Mason Streets in Oceana.  Those happened on Friday, Sept. 20.  Police said that Morgan is also accused of an incident involving items stolen from vehicle on Wyoming Circle that happened on Wednesday, Aug. 21.  Police Chief Jeff Barlow said that some of the property that was stolen has been recovered.

Timothy Morgan is the son of Oceana Councilman, Don Morgan.  Police said that one of the cars that was targeted belonged to another Oceana Councilman.  Timothy Morgan was arrested at his father house in Oceana without incident.
