One mother and her three kids are left homeless after their house went up in flames Saturday night. 59News spoke with them to see how they're doing.

"My kids have no clothes, no shoes and no home," mother Cynthia Dickens said.

A home on Swain Street caught fire around 6:30 Saturday night. Firefighters were still on the scene up until 9:30 p.m. Raleigh County dispatchers confirm a firefighter was injured while battling the blaze.

The homeowner and mother, Cynthia, told 59News what happened next.

"We were down on the river and got a call around 6:30 saying my house was on fire. We came home and I had nothing left, everything was burnt up, all my kids things and we lost every bit of it," she said.

Precious, irreplaceable items were lost in the flames.

"My kids just lost everything of their dad's because they lost their dad last year and now they have nothing to remember him by and now I don't know what to do," said Dickens.

Dickens told 59News no matter how bad things seem, it could always be worse.

"Everybody is alright and my animals made it out okay but losing my home and not being able to take care of the kids is the hardest part," she said.

The father of the Dickens told 59News they are staying with him right down the street until they can get back on their feet.

"I'm staying with family and trying to figure out how to support my family. I'm taking donations to help my family and help get me back on my feet," Dickens told us.

"I'm going to get her any donations, any clothes, anything that I can get her and I've already posted stuff on facebook and get her anything that they need," Dickens sister, Emilea Maxwell said.

If you'd like to donate to this family, they can be reached at (304) 207-3286 and ask for Emilea or Tracy or you can mail donations to 416 Bostick Avenue in Beckley.
