UPDATE: Woman dead after being struck by a vehicle in St. Albans, WV

CHARLESTON, WV -

UPDATE:

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department and West Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly accident in St. Albans.

Angela Oxley, 34, was pulling her children in a wagon when she was struck and killed, according to authorities at the scene.  The children are believed to be okay, but were taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

A pickup truck struck the woman according to crews at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.

Crews are on the scene of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle, resulting in a fatality, in St. Albans, WV.

According to dispatchers, it happened at 7:48 p.m. Thursday in the area of MacCorkle Avenue SW and Austin Drive.

Dispatchers say one female has been confirmed dead.

Route 60 in the area of the incident is shut down in both lanes.
