LEWISBURG -

The West Virginia Division of Highways is warning drivers in Lewisburg about a lane closure that will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 8

Starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday the southbound lane of Route 219 will be shifted into the left turn lane near the intersection with County Route 30, also known as Brush Road.  The lane will be closed until 3 a.m. while repairs are made to a gas line.

Drivers who are traveling through the area are asked to pay attention to traffic control signs and be alert as they go through the work zone.  Delays are expected and drivers should allow additional time for their commute or should find a different way to get where they are going.

The road should be re-opened on Wednesday, Oct. 9.  The West Virginia Division of Highways said that bad weather or other unforeseen problems could change the schedule.
