Colton Pack is from Danese, Fayette County.

He says he did not expect to make it to the top 16 in "The X-Factor" singing competition, and now he is part of a band, with big country music dreams.

Fans gathered at McBee's in Beckley to watch Colton Pack, as he climbs to the top.  People from the mountain state showed Pack their support, when he went to the big apple to compete.  Now, he is heading to Los Angeles.

"The most exciting comments that we get back are the people that are like -- they don't like country music -- but we like you," said Pack.

Cindy Taylor from WTNJ Radio went with Colton to New York City.

"It's very exciting... because to know that somebody locally -- a local musician -- has made it to the main stage, that is so exciting," said Taylor.

Pack is now competing as part of the band "Restless Road."  The band includes Zach Beeken from Indiana, Pennsylvania and Andrew Scholz from Summerville, South Carolina.

Pack thinks they can take the top spot.

McBee's will be hosting watch parties for "The X-Factor" in the weeks to come.  "The X-Factor" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on FOX 59 at 8 p.m.

Colton says if he does not win, he plans to go to college in Tennessee.
