Developing details into a car jacking turned violent, 59News Reporter Lauren Hensley went to where it all happened in Raleigh County and spoke with neighbors about this night of violence.

Three days after a deadly carjacking in Raleigh County the police tape is still up and a community is still in shock.

"We heard all the ambulances go by you can hear all the sirens because they echo in this holler real well," Michael Small, a neighbor who lives right next to where the car jacking happened.

Neighbor Michael Small says his family knew the victim. The victim has been identified as 77-year-old Johnny Condia of Dameron.  Deputies say 29-year-old Mickey Daniel Jr. of Edwight has bee arrested for the murder.

There is an orange rectangle still painted on the road where the car was high-jacked. Neighbors said  there is a prescription pill problem in the area, but they said it has never lead to this kind of violence.

59News Reporter Lauren Hensley asked, is there a drug problem in this area?

Michael Small said, "Just isolated incidents I would say not much really. Not a whole lot of big incidents that I've known of."

59News has learned from neighbors Condia worked as a contractor and had a son with his wife who died a few years ago.

The Raleigh County Sheriffs Department is investigating the murder and it is unclear at this time if drugs played a role in this night of violence.
