NEW RICHMOND -

A fatal fire that happened during the early morning hours on Saturday is under investigation by the West Virginia Fire Marshal's office.

According to the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office the fire broke out at a home on Cabin Creek Road in the New Richmond area.  Deputies said they received the call at around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday.

There were two people killed in the fire.  Investigators with the Fire Marshal's Office said the victims were a 68-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman.  Their names have not been released, but the bodies were taken to the State Medical Examiner in Charleston.

Officials also said there was another man who was in the home when the fire broke out.  That man got out alive.  Arson investigators said that, right now, the cause of the fire was undetermined.
