New developments into a horrific murder attempt that landed one Greenbrier County man behind bars in 2010. Timothy Queen was arrested after setting his estranged wife's home on fire and leading police on an 11 hour man hunt. Now, he may be getting out of jail.59News Reporter Lauren Hensley was there when he learned his fate.

Last week 59News introduced viewers to 17-year-old Katie Queen, granddaughter of Timothy Queen, the man behind bars for setting his family's home on fire.  Viewers can click here to read the original story. Three years later he's up for parole and his daughter is speaking out.

Our cameras were not allowed inside the Stevens Correctional Facility for Timothy Queens parole hearing. But we caught his granddaughter Katie and her family nervously walking into the hearing.

"He's going to come back. Even if he is on house arrest, whatever it is, he's going to come back," Katie Queen,  Timothy's granddaughter said.

Katie said images of her charred home still haunt her. Back in 2010, in a fit of rage, Timothy Queen set fire to her family's home. Inside were Katie, her mother and the family's dogs, baby girl, Apache and Devil. While the family made it out, these bones are all that remain of the beloved pets. After that he led police on an 11-hour manhunt while his family waited in fear.

For all of this Timothy has spent 3 years behind bars and now is eligible for parole. After a tense hour of waiting, the family emerges with an answer.

"He didn't get out," Katie exclaimed.  59News Reporter Lauren Hensley asked, "how do you feel?"  Katie responded, "I am stress free, I am stress free. I can now, not live in fear now until next year," Katie Queen said.

Katie can relax for now. Her grandfather will not be getting out just yet, but will be release in April.
