FAYETTEVILLE -

State Park Rangers all the way from California are in Fayette County this weekend hoping to take home some insight from Bridge Day.  They said they heard about our event and want to have their own from California's highest bridge that stands almost 750 feet high.

The bridge they have in mind is the Forest Hill Bridge outside of Auburn, California.  The rangers said they too want an event like Bridge Day to bring attention to their national park.

"It brings a lot of people to the park not necessarily to jump off the bridge but to do some of the other activities and visit the surrounding communities we have great white water recreation, we have incredible hiking trails," said Scott Liske.

The California rangers said they hope their first Bridge Day will happen by May 2016.
