Logan Fire Rescue investigators say the fire started in the attic of the home. It appears to have been caused by some type of electrical problem. There was no information on damage estimates to the home.
We've learned the names of the two children who died in an early morning fire.
Family members tell 13 News Shania Sydney, 4, and Dontarius Gardner, 3, passed away Monday morning.
Firefighters tried to save the children, but the flames were too intense, they said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Investigators are on the scene of a fatal fire in Logan County, WV.
The fire happened at a duplex off of Canton Lane just before 5 a.m. Two young children died in the blaze, firefighters said. The children were found together.

"It is the season when we're firing up heaters. People need to pay attention. They really need smoke alarms for their house; every bedroom, every hallway, every floor. It's $5 at Wal-Mart. It's a good investment and will save your life," said Logan Fire Department Chief Scott Beckett.
Family members say they are in shock.

Investigators said they will be on scene for several more hours.
West Virginia State Fire Marshal officials are on the scene of an early morning house fire in Logan County.
