---The Mountaineers faced an undefeated ranked Texas Tech team on Saturday for their homecoming in Morgantown.

WVU held their own through the first few quarters leading 27-16 in the 3rd quarter.

But, that was as good as it got for the home team as Texas Tech scored an unanswered 21 points.

Red Raiders quarterback Davis Webb was very impressive in the game going 36 for 50 for 462 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

It was enough to beat the Mountaineers 37-27.

The Mountaineers will be on the road this week at Kansas State.

---The BCS football rankings are out this week and it's no surprise Alabama is #1.

Florida State had a big move to #2 after a massive 48-7 win over Clemson on Saturday. Undefeated Oregon sits at #3 with another win this weekend against Washington State.

Virginia Tech came off a bye week and are ranked 14th.

---Geno Smith hit 17 of 33 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown in the Jets win over the Patriots Sunday.

Not only was he an aerial threat but also picked up yards on the ground. The game was tied 27-27 in OT when the Jets kicker Nick Folk had a chance to win it by a field goal, he missed but a controversial unnecessary roughness penalty on the defense gave him a second chance.

He made the kick and locked in the win.

The victory brings the Jets record to 4 and 3.
