Beckley Police nab New Jersey man for allegedly dealing heroin

Efforts to stop drug trafficking in Beckley took a step forward on Monday when police officers arrested a New Jersey man.

Terrance Raheem Simmons, 37, was arrested as the result of an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics. Detectives searched a motel room in the Beckley area where Simmons was staying. They found around $3,000 in cash along with "a quantity of" heroin and cocaine. 

Simmons was charged with possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance. He is currently being held at the Southern Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.
