    A house burnt for several hours last night in Pax before fire crews could put it out.Officials say nobody lived in the home that was located on Paint Street.The Pax Fire Department's assistant Chief, John Lovelace, said that arson looked to be the cause."Because nobody lives here and there's no way it could have been an electrical fire, so we think somebody set it," he said.Some Pax residents said that when houses catch on fire like this they are left worried for their own home."It crosses my...

FestivALL Fall is back in Charleston this weekend.

The fun of Halloween with theater, dance, visual art and family fun events will be celebrated this week in the Capital City. FestivALL is producing events and partnering with other community organizations such as East End Main Street for a harvest of fun.

Events include:

 Oct. 25 6:30-9:30 p.m.Costumes are encouraged for the FestivALL Fall Ball on the Levee with Hybrid Soul Project and Stratus performing on the Schoenbaum Stage at Haddad Riverfront Park Friday night. This is one last chance to party by the river.

  Oct. 25, 9 p.m.-12 a.m. - Adults only late night show with the No Pants Players and Ted Brightwell's Drag Divas Friday night at the Clay Center.

  Oct. 26, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. & Oct. 27, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. - Harvest Gift Boutique of Fine Art and Fine Crafts at the Charleston Woman's Club on Saturday and Sunday. Juried artists will focus their art and crafts on holiday gift-giving. Make-and-Take crafts, provided by community groups will be available for kids. Music will include Spencer Elliott, Ryan Kennedy and Jim Lange, Mark Scarpelli and Eduardo Canelon.

  Oct. 27, 1-4 p.m. - Carriage Trail Leaf Walk with theatre vignettes performed by Limelight Theatre Company, The Alban Arts Academy Acting Troupe and The Theatre Project from Children's Theatre of Charleston and music by The Modock Rounders and The Carriage Trail Horn Trio.

  Oct. 27, 7-9:30 p.m. - West Virginia Public Radio's Mountain Stage featuring The Steep Canyon Rangers, Vieux Farke Toure, Mason Jennings, Robbie Fulks and The Green Cards Sunday evening at the Culture Center.
