    Two people were killed in a car crash Sunday, August 31. Troopers at the Princeton detachment of the West Virginia State Police said three people were traveling from Cheers in Princeton back home to Northfork when they crashed on Route 52 near Switchback. One man and one woman were killed and one man was sent to Bluefield Medical Center. PRINCE -

The National Park Service is considering charging a fee to stay at several campgrounds that are free right now.  The $5 fee would be implemented at three campgrounds in the Prince area around Glade Creek.

The fee would apply to the Army Camp Campground, Glade Creek Campground and Grandview Sandbar Campground.

Robin Snyder with the National Park Service said the money generated would help with upkeep to the campgrounds and it would also deter crime that is often seen around free camping areas.

Snyder said their decision on whether the fee will be implemented is going to be based on what people in the community have to say about it.

"Basically we will take the silence as people saying they are okay with it," said Snyder.
