The Greenbrier Resort has unveiling its first-ever Fine Art Week, which begins Monday.

The Walls Fine Art Gallery shop inside The Greenbrier selected 14 renowned artists from around the country. The artists were flown in and they're displaying their work inside The Greenbrier's Cameo Ballroom and Walls Fine Art Gallery.

One of the hand-selected artists, Steve Songer, spoke about what participation in the event means to him.

"I can't even believe it. This place is amazing," Songer said. "The Gallery is really classy, I love it. The area around here is a wonderful place to paint so I'm really excited. This is a major event."

The marquee event of the week will be the "First Look!" party on Friday from 5:30-7 p.m. inside The Cameo Ballroom.

Many new paintings will be unveiled and available for purchase. Tickets to the party Friday evening are $25, and the other parts of Fine Art Week is complimentary.
