---The WVU football team finally picked up their first road win of the season Saturday against TCU.

Both teams entered the game with equal records of 3-5.

The Mountaineers trailed 17-10 into the 4th quarter before putting two touchdowns and a field goal on the board.

The Horned Frogs also put up a TD and a field goal tying the game 27-27, setting it into overtime.

WVU clinched the win by a 34 yard field goal by Josh Lambert in OT improving their record to 4-5.

"We found a way to get the win which was obviously big. (we) needed the win, and was proud of the way our guys didn't quit," said head coach Dana Holgorsen.

The Mountaineers are still on the hunt for bowl eligibility and will face Texas at home Saturday.

---There was a big shake-up in the BCS rankings after the weekend. Alabama stayed at the top, followed by Florida State, Oregon, and Ohio State.

The Seminoles jumped the Ducks to land the number 2 spot after their 41-14 win over Miami.

Two of the top three teams have tough games this week, #1 Alabama will face #13 Auburn and #3 Oregon faces #5 Stanford.

---Former WVU standout quarterback Geno Smith picked up a big win with the Jets on Sunday.

Smith was only 8 of 19 for 115 yards in the 26 to 20 win over the Saints. But, the offense helped out on the ground picking up 198 yards rushing. Also a big showing by New York's defense edged the win over one-loss New Orleans.

The win brings the Jets record to 5-4 and keeps their playoff hopes alive.
