Honda Sports Team of the Week, WVU vs. Fairmont St. exhibition game

---Tuesday's Honda Sports Team of the Week is the Trap Hill Middle School football team

The Wildcats had an amazing 8-0 undefeated season sealing the deal with a 24-20 win over Park in the Raleigh County Championship.

Park has held the title for the past 4 years until Trap Hill's win this season, crowning them the new champions.

Congratulations to the players and coaches of the Wildcats for being our Honda Sports Team of the week!

---The WVU basketball team met Fairmont State Monday in an exhibition game in Morgantown.

The Mountaineers won the preseason match up 89-70.

Fouls definitely played a part in the win, the Fighting Falcons had 40 fouls resulting in 37 points for WVU from the free throw line.

Eron Harris led the team with 30 points followed by Nathan Adrian with 21 points.

Stevie Browning led Fairmont State putting 23 on the board with 8 rebounds.

A familiar face was on the court, former Shady Spring standout and current freshman walk-on for the Mountaineers Chase Connor clocked 18 minutes and knocked down a 3 in the win.

Coach Bob Huggins and the team will start their season on Friday against Mount Saint Mary's before facing Virginia Tech on Tuesday.
