Crews are battling a brush fire on Bull Tail Hollow Road in Mercer County Monday night.

The site commander told 59News that the fire started when people were burning receipts in their backyard.

They thought they had put it out, but when they turned around the backyard was up in flames.

It started as a 2 acre fire and has since spread to 5 to 6 acres.

Dispatchers say Green Valley Fire Department, Bluewell Fire Department, and the Department of Forestry are on the scene.

No injuries have been reported.
