HUNTINGTON, WV (AP) -

Union workers are scheduled to vote Wednesday on a proposed contract with Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Service Employees International Union District 1199 tells media outlets that contract talks resumed Tuesday with the hospital.

The union represents 800 licensed practical nurses, lab workers, and service and maintenance personnel.

Workers rejected a previous proposal on Nov. 2. Two days later, the union issued a 10-day strike notice to the hospital.

Details of Tuesday's negotiations weren't released.

The union has said that the rejected proposal would have eliminated retiree health insurance for new hires and contained no wage increases for three years.

If workers reject the latest proposal, a strike could begin Friday, Nov. 15.
