The business community in Greenbrier County is coming together to help the devastated seat of neighboring Pocahontas County.

Michael Monte of Refrigeration Recycling LLC announced that the company will sponsor a fundraiser to help out those who were affected by the fire that burned downtown Marlinton on Sunday, Nov. 10.  The company will host a Pancake brunch from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Nov. 16.  It will be held at the Irish Pub on Washington St. in Lewisburg.  The menu will include pancakes, sausage and fresh fruit.  Beverages will be milk, coffee and orange juice.

A minimum donation of $5 is requested from everyone who shows up for the event.  All proceeds will benefit the victims of the disaster.  There is also a relief fund set up at the Pendleton Community Bank.  Checks for that fund should be made out to "Marlinton Fire" and mailed to:

P.O. Box 87
Marlinton, WV 249545
