A Fayette County man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly shooting a man at his home in Kanawha County.

Zachariah Woodson, 26, of Boomer is charged with Armed Robbery and Attempted Murder. He allegedly shot Roy G Roe, Jr. at Roe's home in Hernshaw.

According to the criminal complaint, Woodson was one of three men who showed up at  Roe's backdoor on Wednesday, Nov. 13.  Two of the men were wearing masks.  The men reportedly forced their way into the house.  One of them held Roe while the other two searched the house.

Roe told State Troopers that the men took $600 from a safe in the bedroom.  Then, according to Roe, he was taken into the kitchen where Woodson shot him in the head.  The three men then left the house and Roe called 911.

Roe identified Woodson from photos that troopers showed him.  Woodson was arrested by State Troopers from Kanawha County on Thursday and taken to the Southern Regional Jail.  He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
