The most violent crime on the indictment list was the murder of Harvey and Valerie Looney.  Their son Christopher Looney, 32, of Cedar Bluff was indicted on three Capital Murder charges.  That means he could get the death penalty if he is convicted.

The crime happened at the Pizza Plus in Claypool Hill in March 2009.  Christopher Looney was arrested on Feb. 14, 2013.  Deputies said after they made the arrest that they never gave up on the case.

The most extensive indictments that were returned by the grand jury were against Larry Allen Rose, II, 32 of Raven, VA and Megan Loisanne Thomas, 35 of Bee, VA.  Rose faces a 61 count indictment that involved forging checks and obtaining money by false pretenses.  The 69 count indictment against Megan Thomas was for similar charges.
