Posted: Updated:

---The White Sulphur Springs Falcons have been chosen as the Honda Sports Team of the Week!

The Varsity team of the Falcons recreational program are 10 and 11 year old boys who flew through their season playing teams from many different counties only losing 1 game to Pocahontas!

The Falcons had a shut out win in their playoff game and went on to compete in the Super Bowl where they faced Pocahontas again.

They soared on the scoreboard winning 30-14 and took the title and the trophy! Congratulations Falcons!

---After another big season at Oak Hill, long time high school coach Eddie Souk retired on Monday.

The Red Devils season ended Saturday in an overtime loss in the first round of the playoffs. This is the second year that the school was in class triple-A and Coach Souk led them to the postseason both years.

He's no stranger to the late-November games, before the school merger he coached Mount Hope to many playoff berths.

It has not been announced yet who will take over the head coaching position at Oak Hill High School.
