    In Raleigh County, a woman is miraculously not seriously injured, after her car rolls over on I-77 around 6:30 Wednesday night.An eyewitness tells us the woman was driving in the left lane on the northbound side. She suddenly veered off the road, over corrected,then slammed into the side of a tractor trailer. The car rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on it's roof.The witness says two small dogs ran out of the car. Moments later, the woman crawled out and ran after one of the dogs....

Jackson County's largest employer received good economic news on a same day that it was announced a new industry will be locating nearby.

Constellium, an aluminum fabrication plant, has been awarded a multi-year agreement with aerospace manufacturer Boeing to support all of the company's leading commercial airplane programs. With this agreement, which was announced Nov. 21, Constellium will increase both the scope and range of products it supplies, according to a news release. 

Under terms of the agreement, Constellium will supply The Boeing Company with aluminum products for airframes utilizing current and advanced-generation aluminum alloys. The products will be supplied from Constellium's two major aerospace and transportation manufacturing sites near Ravenswood and in Issoire, France. 

"In the context of unprecedented aircraft production rates forecasted for the next five years, these plants provide a combination of capabilities to secure The Boeing Company's requirements," the release stated.

"This agreement further strengthens the solid partnership that Constellium and Boeing have built over the past 25 years," said Pierre Vareille, CEO of Constellium. "We look forward to increasing our collaborative efforts to drive value for Boeing and to address the economic and technical challenges of future programs."

Constellium's indicates that its technology portfolio is designed to help the aerospace industry address all the challenges ahead, from reducing weight and maintenance expense, to lowering environmental footprints with closed recycling loops.

In an unrelated announcement, Carbonyx Inc. will be opening a new facility in the Jackson County Maritime and Industrial Center. The plant, which will initially hire 60 employees, will manufacture Cokonyx, a key ingredient in the steelmaking process.
