GLEN JEAN -

UPDATE: Kevin Dumas is now facing 11 counts of wanton endangerment after firing a gun in a crowded bar and allegedly shooting his 28-year-old cousin Emanuel Stoumile in the leg.

According to Captain Jim Sizemore with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, Dumas is waiting to be extradited back to Ohio.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Department confirms a shooting took place at a bar early Saturday morning.

Captain Jim Sizemore said Emanuel Stoumile, 28, of Beckley was shot around 3:20 a.m. at Drifters Bar and Grill in Glen Jean.

The man was shot in the leg and transported to Raleigh General Hospital. The man they believe was the shooter is Kevin Dumas, 20. He was arrested by Beckley Police Officers early Saturday morning and is actually wanted on felonious assault charges out of Ohio.

Dispatchers said the victim's injuries do not appear life threatening. No word what may have led up to the gunfire, however Captain Sizemore said the victim and the suspect are cousins.

He said when deputies arrived at the hospital to question Stoumile he was uncooperative and said he didn't know who shot him.

Beckley police officers were able to identify Dumas because his weapon matched the weapon used at the bar and he fit the witnesses descriptions.

Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler said they do plan on filing felony charges against Dumas soon.
