Werth -

Nicholas County sheriff's deputies arrest five people in connection to a meth lab discovery.

Deputies initially responded to a call of shots fired in the Werth area of the county.

According to a press release, when Deputy J.S. Bennett knocked on the door of the home, he smelled a strong chemical order he felt was consistent with the making of methamphetamine.

Deputies got a search warrant.   A search of the home turned up several items used in the production of meth.

Deputies arrested Casey Renee Adkins, 30, of Summersville; Julia Marie Holmes, 60, of Widen, Tony Lee Holmes, 33, of Widen; Darrell Lynn Holmes, 39, of Widen; and Joseph Albert Rose, 28, of Birch River.   More arrests are pending in this case.
