    Crews fought a house fire in Fayette County Saturday evening for several hours. 911 Dispatchers said the call came in of a house fire on Paint Creek Road near Pax around 6:30 p.m. Pax Fire Department and Bradley-Prosperity Fire Department responded along with several other crews. We're told no one was inside the home when the fire happened.

An Ohio man who pleaded guilty in April to conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and heroin in the Mountain State has been sentenced to more than 14 years in federal prison.

Retsyn Deshawn Owens, 43, of Akron admitted to conspiring with his younger brother, Renardo, to distribute the illegal drugs, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said.

Retsyn Owens was sentenced to a total of 14 years and seven months in federal prison, including 24 months for violating the terms of his supervised release out of New York. The sentences are to be served consecutively.

Renardo Owens, 38, was sentenced in October to 10 years and 10 months in federal prison. He had previously been convicted in Summit County, Ohio, of cocaine possession and trafficking in 1999.

The Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team and the Charleston Police Department conducted the investigation, Goodwin said. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Hanks handled both prosecutions.
