Activities and achievements: Since she was a freshman, Megan has worked with the Peer Helpers Program, assisting other students with difficult emotional issues or helping them through tough times. She serves in student government and was junior class president. She's in the National Honor Society, 4-H and was a reading volunteer for AmeriCorps. She works 20 hours a month with the Romney Volunteer Rescue Squad, assisting emergency medical technicians in the field. She also works part-time at a local pizza shop. 

Plans: Megan wants to earn both bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology at Marshall University. She eventually would like to work with military veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.
