NEW DETAILS: Police Respond To Armed Robbery At Family Dollar

Posted: Updated:

West Virginia state troopers say a man entered the Family Dollar on Route 3 in Glen Daniel, just before 10 Friday night.

Troopers say the man pulled out a gun and fired shots.  No one was injured.

But they say the man did get away with about $3,000 from a safe and from the register.  The terror the man created lasted three minutes.

Troopers released surveillance video on Saturday.  59News is told the man had a small caliber hand-gun.  He's described as a white male, about 5'8 to 5'10, wearing a camouflage jacket and pants, black boots, and gloves.

Troopers say a canine unit was at the scene and ran a trace on the suspect.  But it is believed the suspect may have taken off in a vehicle.  So they are looking for the man who robbed the store and possibly a driver.  You can call state police anonymously, if you have any information.
