WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS -

The Greenbrier Resort is continuing a tradition of giving that began three years ago.  The resort's "Create a Dream Tree for Kids" distributed gifts to 86 local and regional charities on Monday, Dec. 16.

The dream tree is a $1 Million charity drive that began in 2011 and was personally initiated by The Greenbrier Resort's owner Jim Justice. In 2013 they will distribute 38,500 gifts to the participating charities.  Volunteers wearing Santa-hats dismantled the dream tree white towered in the Upper Lobby of the Greenbrier.  The gifts were sorted into age groups before being handed out to charity representatives.

The charities began showing up at 10 a.m. to pick up the gifts.  The distribution, which is happening at the Greenbrier Resort, is expected to last until 5 p.m.
