There is a chance that Madison Creek Road in Logan County, WV may re-open soon.
According to a news release issued by the West Virginia Department of Transportation, the West Virginia Division of Highways anticipates that Madison Creek Road will be re-opened Thursday, Dec. 19 at 5 p.m.
The news release says that it may open sooner, however, work will continue through Thursday morning, as well as into the afternoon.
According to the news release, crews on the scene are still removing debris and that the road is still muddy. The news release says gravel will be placed in certain spots along the roadway before it is re-opened.
The news release goes on to say that flaggers will be placed on the road, and that traffic delays may occur.
According to the news release, the West Virginia Division of Highways is finalizing design plans for the temporary causeway that will cross the Guyandotte River, and that more information will be released when it becomes available.
