A West Virginia woman, charged with hiding the bodies of two elderly women and with forgery in Alabama is out of jail and in a hospital.

A court approved the release of Wanda Kiser, 62, because of her health.

The Associated Press reports Kiser's attorney, Richard Jaffe, says he's hospitalized in Birmingham for conditions that include pneumonia, diabetes and congestive heart failure.

Jaffe says Kiser is on a breathing machine and its unclear if she will recover.

Kiser is charged with multiple counts of forgery related to retirement money she allegedly took from two women who've been missing in Alabama since 2002.

Female remains were found under Kiser's old home in Alabama and in a storage unit she rented here in West Virginia.

She is not currently charged in the women's deaths.
