Update:

The Randolph County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a driver killed in a three vehicle collision Monday on Route 219 in Randolph County.

Corporal B. Pawelczyk said Amanda Dawn Channell, 34, of Valley Head has been identified as the driver.

Pawelczyk said Channell's car was traveling north on Route 219 when it drove to the left of the median, and struck an oncoming Coca Cola truck. The impact caused both vehicles to catch on fire.

The driver of the truck pulled a five-year-old girl from the vehicle. The girl was Channell's daughter, Pawelczyk said. The girl is listed in stable condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

The driver of the truck and occupants in a third vehicle have been treated and released.

Original Story:

One person is dead and two others were injured after a three-vehicle collision Monday morning in Randolph County.

It happened just before 10 a.m., according to 911 officials.

Sheriff Mark Brady of the Randolph County Sheriff's Department said a car was traveling north on Route 219 when it drove to the left of the median and struck an oncoming Coca Cola truck.

The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Brady.

Brady said the car caught fire, and the driver of the truck pulled a 5-year-old girl from the vehicle. She was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. Her condition is currently unavailable.

Brady said the driver of the truck went to Davis Memorial Hospital with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff's department is investigating. It is not releasing names at this time.

The Huttonsville-Mill Creek Fire Department also responded to the scene.
