BECKLEY -

Stores and malls were packed Tuesday as last-minute shoppers rush to get all their Christmas gifts.

"I'm crazy... we decided to come see what was going on and I picked up some last minute things," said Joseph Whittaker.

"I came out here shopping looking for something for my mom, I'm getting her a watch or a bracelet," said Zaniah McMillan.

One shopper tells us he finds the best deals close to the holiday so he always waits until the last minute.

"I just have a few more things I need to get, I just started my Christmas shopping yesterday... But I just enjoy being out," said Jeff Woods.

One shopper said he usually avoids the mall all together but this year Christmas came before he had a chance to get his gifts.

"I usually shop online but I waited too long to even do that," said Woods.

And some shoppers were out in the crowds doing favors for others.

"My grandma had me get her some stuff she didn't want to come out," said Whittaker.

Crossroads Mall was open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
