UPDATE:  One person is transported to Charleston Area Medical Center General after two tractor trailers collide on Route 3 in Raleigh County.

The accident happened just before 9 a.m. Thursday on WV Route 3.   

The Whitesville Fire Department, Whitesville EMS, Racine Fire Department, Clear Creek Fire Department, WV State Police and WV DOT responded.

It is believed slick roads are to blame for the crash.

 

 


 

 

Several crews are on their way to the scene where two tractor-trailers have crashed head-on on Route 3 just before 9 Thursday morning in Raleigh County.  One person is reportedly trapped in the wreckage.  According to West Virginia State Police and Raleigh County Emergency Services the accident is near the town of Montcoal, just before Whitesville.  The crash is north of where the rockslide happened which has closed Route 3 for the past few days.  Stay with 59News for updates on this story.
