    The Mercer County Sheriffs Department and local grooming shop, Pet Zone in Princeton are partnering to help raise money for one of the K-9 Officers.Deputy Furches and his partner Maggie are often first in the line of fire.In order to help protect Officer Maggie when she's sniffing out suspects the department wants her to have a bulletproof vest to keep her safe.

    Its an internet sensation. The "Ice Bucket Challenge"was started to raise money for ALS. The fundraiser asks people to stand and have ice water poured on their head or donate 100 dollars to ALS. Every day people and even celebrities then challenge others to do the same.

BECKLEY, W.Va -

The United Apostolic Faith Church in Beckley has joined forces with a couple other churches in our area to try to help people without water in Charleston, WV.

The churches collected over 2,000 lbs of water and loaded it all in a truck this morning a shipped it to the less fortunate in Kanawha County.

"We've all sort of joined forces to reach out to our fellow members down in Charleston."

The community knew that there were people in Charleston without water and they acted as fast as they could.

4 church members loaded up cases and cases of water into a truck and trailer to help as much as they could.
