    Crews fought a house fire in Fayette County Saturday evening for several hours. 911 Dispatchers said the call came in of a house fire on Paint Creek Road near Pax around 6:30 p.m. Pax Fire Department and Bradley-Prosperity Fire Department responded along with several other crews. We're told no one was inside the home when the fire happened.

         One man is in custody Saturday after a bar shooting in Raleigh County.
         One man is in custody Saturday after a bar shooting in Raleigh County.

Two arrests have been made in Greenbrier County for stealing and using a checkbook.

Tiffany Ramsey and her boyfriend Clarence Miller of Rainelle were arrested Monday night at a local pawn shop. The shop altered law enforcement when one of Ramsey's checks bounced. Ramsey fled the scene, only to return when officers were inside.

Ramsey and Miller were arrested and later confessed.

Ramsey is charged with 37 counts of uttering, 37 counts of forgery, 37 counts of conspiracy to commit forgery, and 37 counts of conspiracy to commit uttering.

Miller is charged with 25 counts of conspiracy to commit forgery and 25 counts of conspiracy to commit uttering.

Rainelle Police Chief J.P. Stevens said they stole the checkbook from Ramsey's adoptive mother.
