    Viewers are calling in their concerns over the City of Sophia, so we found out the town does not have an acting Chief of Police. Sophia Mayor Danny Barr said on July 30th, former Sophia Police Chief, Sam McClure, resigned on good terms.

RALEIGH -

A CSX train collided with a truck in Raleigh, WV on Tuesday, Jan. 21.  CSX told 59News that is was a local work train out of Quinnimont, WV that hit a truck at the Burmeister Ave. railroad crossing.  It happened at 3:40 p.m.

The train had one locomotive that was operated by two crew members.  Neither of the persons on the train were hurt.  A person who was in the truck was taken to an area hospital.  There is no word on that persons identity or condition at this time.

CSX officials said that trains were running again shortly after the collision.  Burmeister Ave. also had to be shut down for a short time, but reopened on Tuesday evening.

Raleigh County Sheriff's Department, Beaver Fire Department and Jan Care Ambulance responded among other emergency service workers.
