The McDowell County Sheriff's Office made an arrest this week in an investigation into the illegal sale of prescription medication.

Deputies received a tip on Tuesday, Jan. 21 that Kenny Lee Jones was trying to sell prescription pills in downtown Welch.  Jones was apparently yelling at people in the area.  Deputies said that when the arrested Jones they found a Schedule IV controlled substance on him.

Jones is charged with Possession with Intent to Sell a Schedule IV Controlled Substance.
