While we don't get to look forward to any West Virginia Miner's baseball games anytime soon, Miner's Manager Tim Epling is getting players and coaches in the baseball spirit.

Many coaches ranging from the high school level to the professional level will be at the Upper Deck Training Center in Beckley from today through Monday.

Epling as well as Princeton Rays manager Danny Sheaffer will be among the speakers that will give insight to players, parents, and coaches in this four day event. Both managers say events like this are great learning tools for those trying to improve on the game.

"This to share what we have gained, as far as knowledge of the game of baseball to people, ask Q and A's. They can find out anything they want to find out and pick our brains a little bit," said Sheaffer.

"I didn't learn all the stuff I know today on my own. I think you need to surround yourself with the best baseball people you can find, and then you learn and you feed off of that," said Epling.

Saturday and Sunday will be seminars for coaches. Parents and players are welcome back on Monday. Passes are still available on their website www.upperdeckwv.com
