A puppy from Southern West Virginia will be makings its debut on national TV this weekend.

The dog, Bailey. will be participating in this year's Puppy Bowl before the Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 2. Bailey was adopted from the McDowell County Animal Shelter, but Bailey and her siblings came to the shelter sick, and were nursed back to health before being rescued by an adoption agency out of Pennsylvania.

"They were very sick when they came in and we worked with them and helped them and found them a home and it's amazing to see one of our dogs do something like this," said Sharon Sagety with the McDowell County Humane Society.

Bailey will be featured in the "barking Lot" during this Sunday's Puppy Bowl. He is one of 5 pups chosen for the spot.

Bailey is also a certified service dog for his owner who lives in Pennsylvania.
