New meds made to avoid meth production

GREENBRIER COUNTY -

Greenbrier Medical Arts Pharmacy and Western Greenbrier Pharmacy have joined the fight against Meth with a new product called Nexafed.

Unlike similar products, this nasal decongestant cant be used to make crystal meth. Local Pharmacist, Aaron Taylor told me how it works.

"When you try to dissolve Nexafed with any other product it becomes a gel which locks the Pseudo ephedrine product in the gel. In studies, they tried for several hours to pull any pseudo ephedrine from the gel and were unable to."

This product can be found at all local Greenbrier Medical Arts Pharmacies in the area.
