HUNTINGTON, WV -

Former United Bank executive Scott Miller has joined the Office of Development at Marshall University, where he is serving as vice president.

Miller had served for five years at United Bank, where he was market president for Cabell County. Prior to that, Miller was responsible for founding and managing Citizens First Bank in Ravenswood.

He is a graduate of Marshall, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He also is a graduate of the West Virginia School of Banking and a member of the American Bankers Association. He is set to complete a Master of Arts degree in leadership studies from Marshall in May.

Miller has served on the advisory board of Marshall's College of Business and the Huntington Area Development Corp. He was awarded the 2012 Marshall University Alumni Community Achievement Award.

He has been an adjunct professor at West Virginia University-Parkersburg.
