The photos used in the Jan. 10-16 and Jan. 31-Feb. 6 editions of The State Journal as part of our "Map to Prosperity" coverage as a courtesy of the West Virginia Department of Transportation were emailed to Managing Editor Ann Ali June 21, 2013, the morning after they were used by the Department of Transportation in a PowerPoint presentation at a legislative interim committee meeting in Wheeling.

There was no information about the source of the photos, but Ed Wade Jr. contacted The State Journal to say he took the photos.

Wade is a member of the Wetzel County Action Group, which has the mission of supporting economic development for the county and state as well as working to ensure economic development does not impact the safety, economic interests and quality of life of the citizens of Wetzel County.
