HINTON -
UPDATE:
The Hinton Gospel Tabernacle church told 59 News that a few days after the break-in they noticed there was much more missing from the church. The thieves made their way to the second floor of the church and took almost all the copper from the heating unit and created thousands of dollars in damages as well.

The Hinton Gospel Tabernacle church was broken into late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. The pastor said that multiple guitars were stolen and the suspects were In and out in a hurry.

People were shocked but their town is no stranger to crime.

George Reed lives right across the street from the church and told me that this street sees its share of vandalism

"There's been a lot of vehicles vandalized and tires cut, teenagers come through and let the air out of them." He said.

More than $6,000 worth of guitars were stolen. If you have any information, your encouraged to call the Hinton Police Department.
