The West Virginia Parkway Authority says four vehicles hit a boulder in the roadway at I-77 near mile marker 66 in Fayette County, WV around 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9.
One of the vehicles belonged to a West Virginia State Trooper.
The vehicles sustained damage but the West Virginia Parkway Authority says no one was hurt.
They are not sure how the boulder got in to the roadway. However, they do not believe it arrived there as a result of a rockslide.
A snowplow was able to remove the boulder so no other motorists crashed in to it.
